Northwest Mississippi Regional Amtrak Station

 

The new Marks, Mississippi, station is a part of the “City of New Orleans Route” passenger service from Chicago to New Orleans hosted by Canadian National. Amtrak train #59 Southbound stops in Marks around 8:00 a.m. CST and the Amtrak train #58 Northbound stops in Marks around 8:30 p.m. CST. The Northwest Mississippi Regional Station serves the following counties: Bolivar, Coahoma, Grenada, Lafayette, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica and Yalobusha. Amtrak’s passenger service not only moves people with its inter-city rail and over 270,000 citizen in rural communities, but also helps move the nation’s economy forward. When it comes to meeting customers’ expectations, safety and environmental issues, Amtrak is rated with high quality and efficiency. The new Amtrak station in Marks provides fertile economic grounds leading to greater tourism and business opportunities for this region.
